Does alexa require unique toolbar?

I had read that it needs a unique ip address, but does it also need a unique toolbar too? someone n bhw said it does, but could be wrong

i also read here on bhw that alexa only counted traffic coming from search engines, is that still the case?

i was planning on refreshing my site with a different ip address each time, but if it requires a toolbar with a unique serial + coming form search engine then theres no point

Well, this might be a total different answer,, but there are groups on facebook that helps each other lower their alexa ranks.

However, coming back to your question, i think using different pc might do the tricks. BUT you can try an A/B experiment and see if it works.

Just buy a traffic package from the marketplace. There are a few specifically geared towards boosting Alexa.

Having said that it's a total waste of your money.

another user here said that alexa only takes traffic directly from search engines into account, maybe thats changed since
