Does Ahrefs KD metric really Has a real value?

I found many cool kws around 4-15 KD on ahrefs. And I am curious if they will really be easy to rank.

Do you wanna waste money? Throw down the toilette or buy ahrefs or semrush. Why buy softs based on Google adwords? GSA gives you more than these two craps. By the way... GSC gives you 99% of you need for SEO.

Care to explain how GSA give you same value as ahref

You did not answered to my question. Then, where can i check if a keyword is easy to rank?

Type in the KW you want. Check the results and think about long tail KW related. Then simulate a Google ads campaign.

Not that hard!

I mean GS Console.

i guess you mean adwords and not gsc or gsa either, i don't get how they offer the same value...you can't measure how valuable ahref is

Ok If you trust ahrefs. I dont. Can I give you a good example? I rank #1 for one of my money sites. My main opponent ranks #2 Just duplicating my content and re-writting the first paragraph... So? I have 1735 good backlinks. Hes got 4. So.

What does that have to do with the keyword difficulty of ahrefs vs adwords keyword difficulty?

Cause they are sh*t.
And NOT used by google.
Are only 3rd party metrics.

you quoted a message that says ''What does that have to do with the keyword difficulty of ahrefs vs adwords keyword difficulty?''

Now tell me, how can anyone take you serious?

All the SEO tools in the market today when it comes to keyword difficulty scores they offer a weighted average of how hard would it be to rank for a particular keyword.

In regards to Ahrefs, their KD scores it´s based on...
That is why, to calculate Keyword Difficulty, we analyze the search results for a keyword and look at the number of referring domains the top 10 ranking pages have. In simple terms, the more referring domains across the top-ranking pages, the higher the Keyword Difficulty.

But even Sam Oh on their YouTube channel has acknowledged several times we shouldn´t take this number in a vacuum. We need to perform more in-depth analysis in order to determine what keywords we should be targeting.

For this, you should be focusing mainly on analyzing the top 10 results of the SERP for any given keyword and taking notes of the following...
  • Number of low authoritative websites (<10 PA)
  • Number of marketplaces (Like Amazon and eBay) and/or eCommerce stores
  • Number of YouTube videos
  • Number of subdomains or Web 2.0s sites (Like Blogspot, Wix, Blogger, Weebly, etc)
  • Number of niche related forums and/or Q&As platforms (Like Quora, Reddit, Yahoo Answers, etc.)
  • Number of general article submission websites (Like eHow, Buzzle, HubPages, Engine, etc.)
  • A limited number of SERP features (Like Ads, featured snippet, schema markup, etc.)
These are variables that can easily be analyzed in a matter of 5 minutes.

But this is not all, there are other critical factors we need to take into account. For instance...
  • How optimized are the pages ranking in the top results of Google? - Does it have the main keyword on their title, URL and Meta description? Do all the images have SEO optimized alt tags? Is the loading speed of the page fast? Among many many other on-page SEO factors.
  • Does that article fully satisfy the user´s search intent? - This is perhaps the single most important ranking factor alongside other On-page optimization variables like page loading speed.
  • Quality and, more important, the relevancy of the links pointing to those pages - It is not enough to just know the number of links and unique referring domains pointing to a website. Although these metrics alone will help a lot we must go further than this and analyze the quality of the backlink profiles of each of those websites.
Lastly, don´t take those keyword difficulty scores in order to determine whether or not you should target a particular keyword. Instead, take them to see what keywords are you analyzing more in-depth.

After you finish this process, you will have a much better idea of what keywords you should go after.

I hope this helps, cheers!

Yes, if it seems difficult to you, you shouldn't start seo your site.

Seo is simple but not easy.

Just use ahrefs to check backlinks profile not KD.

Again and again: GSC and Adwords give you 99.9% you need for rank. Why the fuck waste money on crap softs? Set up a blog using ahrefs and I will set up another using Just Google free tools. Choose the KW. Lets see who ranks better after 30 days? No paid traffic from Adwords... Just make use of the tool for metrics and volume.

Dude i am not gonna argue with someone who thinks he can find the backlinks of competitors, you said your competitor had 4 backlinks. I say he has 50 and 46 hidden with a huge pbn behind you will never find. You are obviously clueless here that's why you make no sense. This thread is about keyword difficulty of tools and how accurate they are, not about ranking a website. I really don't know what you are trying to prove.

From my deep expiriance, I will say Ahrefs UR is most crucial for all. I make small test into a lot of my projects. Higher UR - > Higher Ranks.

I think you can specify the KD with looking the Monthly search and top site on SERP. From monthly search and checking SERP situation, you can know the keyword difficult.
