Crawlers should not see such content so it will not impact your seo
If you block crawlers from accessing your actual content that will affect your rankings.
Check cache:your-page-url in Google to learn if Google actually parses your content. Example: cache:https://www.yourwebsite.com/
Is the cache fresh? Do you see your actual page or the age restriction landing? If the latter, then you might have a problem, in my personal opinion.

As long as your age gate doesn't prevent the search engine's crawlers from accessing the content on your site, there's no reason why age verification would have an adverse impact on SEO.
