Does Adsense Pay?

Sorry if this is the wrong forum but I've been using Facebook to drive traffic to Youtube which is monetized through Adsense. I just started doing this 4 months ago and have lurked around this forum quite a bit, a lot of what I've read has lead me to believe outright theft from Google shouldn't be a major concern. So today I go to check my Adsense account and my small total earnings are exactly as they were yesterday except a negative sign has magically appeared in front of them. So taken literally it would seem I'm paying them for the privilege of having been sending them traffic over the last four months.

I've just started really seeing some results and I think I've refined some of the strategies I'm using to the point where I can really start ramping it up and making enough money at least to not have to work some lamo gas station job. Oh and every single click I've ever gotten is 100% legit, real traffic. I've never used any kind of bot (to click ads) or bought traffic of any kind. So my question is - should I be worried about getting paid from Adsense? If so, how worried should I be?

Are they likely to come at you with some kind of online casino-esque line like "we think you violated Facebook's terms and conditions on May 9 of last year so we're gonna reach into your account and steal everything you ever made"?

No, they will pay when you aren't doing something against the rules.

Thanks for your reply. To clarify we're talking strictly about their (Google and subsidiaries') rules, correct? I only briefly skimmed the Adsense T&C when I started, but like so many T&C the language struck me as purposefully vague and leaving plenty of room for creative interpretation by Google if that's what they were bent on doing. I, like I'm assuming most here, play somewhat fast and loose with the spirit if not the letter of Facebook's T&C but am a model customer with respect to YouTube and Google. I just kind of want to throw this out there and see what consensus forms.
 
What exactly are you posting on your youtube channel? Is it duplicate content from other Youtube channels?

Just a tip: If you really want to increase your Adsense revenue, create a simple wordpress website. Put a maximum of 3 Adsense ad's on the site per page, post your youtube video on the website's blog and share it on social media.

Extra tip: Install Yoast SEO plugin and use the social media toolkit it has, the "featured image" should be atleast 1200x628 - this makes the "image" you post on facebook bigger and will grabb more attention/clicks.

Its all music stuff virtually all original. Thanks for the tips. Can I place adsense ads on web pages even though I'm only approved for Youtube monetization? I will definitely check out that Yoast SEO thing, testing different thumbnail tactics is on my to-do list.

Just be careful where you put the ads, too close to a dropdown menu will get you into trouble for example
