As the title asks: Does Ads for Video Improve Ranking?

Say I promote a high quality video (good content + all SEO done) through YT Ads and get 100K views from any specific country... will it help to get any ranking in YT?

I know many Gurus here tried this... need some guidance before I proceed ahead.

Indirectly yes I think it has an affect on the channel in whole.

Highly depends on users behaviour. If it's a shitty video and people skip this ad as soon as they can, then probably this won't make video's performance any better. But if it's a good stuff and some viewers stop by to check the whole video, then yes, it increases engagement and should lead to more exposure for this video inside youtube.
But it's all a theory though, nobody know for sure.

Just one more query: Do I need to disable monetization before running Ad or it's okay?

I've personally never ran ads on a monetized video so I can not speak to this.
