Does adding Google Analytics improve SERP?

i view Analytics as a measurement tool rather than an SEO ranking factor.
it helps identify pages with engagement or conversion issues.
fixing those issues can improve performance, but that's an indirect effect.

Directly? I doubt it. Publicly, Google Analytics isn't itself a ranking factor (and I think they said as much too).
But as with anything, Analytics is a tool that helps by a lot in making informed and contextual decisions. So in a way, you can say it helps SEO overtime.

Definitely not. In fact can make it worse as it can slow the page down since it's an extra .js file being loaded to track clicks, visitors, ip, country, etc

highly doubt it but you still need analytics to get insight on what is working and what is not on your website. How do you run a succesful website if you have no insight. It is also great for creating reports that you can use to market the site if you are going into affiliate marketing

Google Analytics itself doesn't directly improve rankings at all but the main benefit is the data it gives you, if you use that data to improve user experience, content, and conversions, that can have a positive impact over time.

Pros: Google will see whats happening on website with high details... engagement, page views, time on page....
Cons: It will slightly increase the page loads.
I don't use Analytics on any of my sites (WireBoard does the job for me) and rank fine. Next you'll be saying that having Adsense on your sites improves SERPs...

It doesn't improve rankings. It'll slow down your website on shared or slow servers. As loading speed is a ranking signal, it'll negatively effect your website. So, use it only if you need it. Most beginners don't need it but use it as everyone else does. Get rid of it if your site already loads slow.

Google Analytics only provide info about web and app traffic. But you can also extract the details about how people interacting with your web/app. According to that data you can create strategies for your marketing campaign and get better ranking in SERP

That's true. The main benefit is the level of insight you get into user behaviour—engagement, page views, session duration, and other key metrics. The downside is a small impact on page load performance, though it's usually negligible when implemented properly.

Correct. Google Analysis does not directly affect rankings. Use GA4 to measure performance amd user behaviour, but improving content, relevence , and user experience is what helps SEO.
