Does adding a Long List of Keywords actually Help?

had a client ask me to add this to the end of all his pages:

Carpet Cleaning Portland Oregon, Carpet Cleaning West Linn, Carpet Cleaning Lake Oswego, Carpet Cleaning Wilsonville, Carpet Cleaning Tigard, Carpet Cleaning Tualatin, Carpet Cleaning Beaverton, Carpet Cleaning Aloha, Carpet Cleaning Gresham, Carpet Cleaning Hillsboro, Carpet Cleaning Forest Grove, Carpet Cleaning Portland Milwaukie, Carpet Cleaning Oregon City, Carpet Cleaning Portland, Air Duct Cleaning Portland Oregon...

(its three times this long but you get the idea)

Am I right in assuming Google is too smart to fall for this?

lol. yea meta tags and stuff like this does not work anymore. tell your client to let you handle it. and then slap him.

if the pages have supporting content, google will actually rank the site better after you add in your spam, dont get me wrong im not suggesting you do this. I just know that doing this helps rankings if your pages are legit to begin with.

well when doing tags can someone please give me some ideas. iam a spa mover so should my tags read.

spa,move,mover,moving,moves,hottub,hot tub,

now my question is when they search spa mover or spa moving will it get hits this way or do i have to do it this way.


spa mover,spa moving.spa movers, and so on
