Does Ad will influence your rank?

i have some web on top page of Google, i want to know if i put some ad on my homepage e.g. Amazon ad, ebay ad, is that will influence my rank？ will google tank my rank? how serious will be? anybody have experience with it?

As long as you don't put an overwhelming amount of ads on your site above the fold, you should be ok.

Don't use more then 2 ads on your page.
