Does a Wordpress title count as H1?

Some themes H1 the logo too, you have to look at the source code and see where it is. To be valid HTML, your page must not have but one H1 tag. You can have as many of the rest as you need, but avoid using H tags for emphasis. The content of these tags is taken as a heading, and if you bold the words "They can kiss my ass" (or whatever) with a H tag, your seo just went out the window.

Also some themes use a H1 tag on the logo, even for a graphic.

500 words would be title, one H1 and one H2 maximum (if title was H1 I would reduce that)

Just 18 months ago the rules were different, but with over op penalties - I wouldn't risk it.

Ok, I limited to only one H1 tag but there's many H2 tags. I'll change that now
Is it okay to have some posts have one H2 tag and other posts have two H2 tags? For diversity.

I already have All in one SEO plugin installed. Should I be using the title box on it to be the title instead of the title box on the original WP?
I think just doing it on the Wordpress title box is better since it allows the permalink to adjust and I don't have a crap link, then leave the AIO SEO title box empty?

Does anyone know of a site/link that talks about the ideal number of h1/h2/h3/h4 tags per page?

I use iBusinessPromoter for ONPAGE SEO and it tells you everything on how Googles sees your site. That's how I learnt that Wordpress titles are h1.

You should try it out it rocks for on page seo.

I don't even use H3-H1000000.
Those tags are not needed unless you've got a large blog post/article (think 1000 words+)
You can see a lot of your answers on this thread. Scritty said the safe way is to just have one H1 and one H2 per 500 words

Hmm, I've heard somewhere that IBP gives too much detail and supposedly if you followed everything it said, your page will look over-optimized.. Not sure if it's right though..

what it does is copying the top10 sites and telling you if they are the ones that didnt over optimized. With that said you may avoid over optimization if IBP tells you to

It's a pretty great program for On page. I dont like it for backlinks though.
