Does a content scraper tool exist?

I'm looking for a 'content scraper' for various types of websites.

Does anybody know if a bit of software exists that would allow me to:

1. collect all blog articles from various blogging websites? Blogger, wordpress etc.
2. collect tweets from twitter.

Any advice is appreciated.
