Hello,

I recently bought 4 homepage backlinks. The price was discounted for once by a trusted seller.
However my niche is electronics and the backlinks I bought where from pet related sites.

My question:
Does a backlink from a niche related site has more impact on the SEO results (appart from the DA/PA etc... etc...), or doesn't it really matter.

It was a anchor text to backlink backlink (So just my keyword with a link the my website)

Sorry for my bad English.

Thank you!

The truth is, relevance is important when it comes to SEO. It's not bad to get one or two random links but I will pay more and stick more with relevant and home page backlinks. And ofcourse the links shouldn't be spammed either. The search engine is smart like the smart phones of today.

The high metric general links you can get can be considered 'B+' rated, whereas good links that are relevant are 'A+' for SEO purposes. Try to make links to your site of the A rated variety as much as possible.

You must be getting relevant links somehow, if all your links are from unrelated sites and you manage to rank for something good it's a big red flag crying for manual review.
Accordingly to searchengineland.com google has over 10,000 manual reviewers.

Your backlinks have to be in your niche. Relevancy matters a lot in backlinks. Google always looks for relevancy in your backlinks. Also, backlinks from other niche related sites won't be even taken into account by google.

You need the article to connet the two sites.

Say my website is about widgets.

PBN domain is about trucks.

The only way my article works is if the article is about using widgets in trucks.

In your case, if the seller connected electronics to pets, you are fine.

For example, electronic dog collar or automatic litter box articles bridge the two niches.

You will get value either way, but niche related stick longer and have a lower rate of penalty.

If you want OP, send me a PM. I work in the pet niche and advise in the tech niche. I normally dont do this, but I can tell you if they are related and of I have seen sites with a penalty from such links.

I want to reiterate, OP only please. And my advice will be free and honest. I know better than to ask to see URLs on BHW publicly.

To be frank, all niches can be related some how. If your backlinks come from content taking about electronic tracking devices for pet or new electronics to diagnose certain pet illnesses can definitely be relevant.

Relevancy is more important these days. Don't go for irrelevant links placements. If the website is general niche which includes all topics then it has some value. But getting a link from a technology niche which is no value to the readers maybe you can expect some hidden/other SEO benefits.

Based on my practice, it's not a necessary requirement. But you should try to pay attention to niche-related links at first.

Relevancy is more important now than it ever has been (also contextually relevant). The only time I point irrelevant links towards my websites (minus parasites or rep management properties) is when they have hefty authority. Big metrics sites still seem to push the needle.

It isn't necessary, but it's highly recommended. It's best if you can connect your backlinks and your content in some way. Of course, it's best if your backlinks are from the same niche or at least relevant.

Link is a link in my opinion. But yeah as others said if the backlink is from an article or website that talks about your niche then its perfect.
Like if you taking link from a pet niche website then try to acquire link from an article which talks a little bit about your niche.

Relevancy and trust factor means a lot in SEO, so getting links from the general site is better than getting links from pet IMO. Anyhow it helps in increasing trust-flow but not in electronics topics so it looks like spammy.

And if you can't able to find more specific backlinks then get it from niche related to your site, if electronics you can also use tech niche sites.
