Are you getting anonymous LinkedIn requests to connect? Not sure if you should connect?

    Here's a Quick Tip:

    1. Open Google Images
    2. Drag the photo from the invite into Google Image search bar
    3. Is the requester who they say they are?

50% of the LinkedIn requests I receive are from fictitious people and here's why: LinkedIn connections have full access to your email address.

I've seen recent examples of LinkedIn email skimmers ranging from SEO Marketers, Scam Dating and Credit Card Fraud.
    Here's an example:

    A recent invite from . . .

    Check the photo:

    1. Open Google Images

    2. Drag photo from invite into Google Image search bar

    3. Is the requester who they say they are?

    Holly Richards? No.

This is actually a stolen picture of the CEO of GoldieBlox.

I always accept them to study their ways of "marketing", or should I say spamming. Some are pretty hilarious with their broken English and unbelievable sales messages lol but a couple of them do it the right way. Oh I also use a separate email account for LinkedIn anyway.

    On the flip side,

Worried that your linkedin profile account might get found by google reverse image?

Always crop your profile pics a bit, and stick them through either a darker or brighter filter in photoshop

    Great call!

Most are dead giveaways because they are asking for something as soon as I connect. But I've had a few sneak by lately who wait a few days before hitting me with their crappy offers.

Dude, just right click and opt for "Search Google for this image".
I've outed dozens of scammers this way. This "woman" still had watermarks on her pic haha. So hilarious. Seriously some people can't make the effort to scam.

Wow, does this trick still work up to now? Or are there newer and faster ways to know if the LinkedIn contact is a fraud?
