I think it's stupid. Yeah, google are dicks. But the business owners think that google has some kind of responsibility to provide the business with traffic and clients ? Maybe everyone should get a business, and if the business doesn't make money, just blame google, as they don't get traffic, but other businesses does, it's a 3 year old child attitude. Also, the people have forgotten a simple rule : Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Force them to pay for ads ? Well, if your business is fucked up, doesn't mean Google don't need a source of income, and no one forces you, instead of taking responsibility for fucking up your business, you blame Google.

But I do agree that negative seo is a fucked up way to do things, and it's not ethical, but at the same time, every industry has a way to do things the evil way, as for example, creating bad press for your competition.

You would give a shit if your business was affected. Google destroys businesses and income sources overnight, and that's a fact. And some businesses can't help but rely on Google, so don't blame them. Every business relies on another business in order to make profit.

I've always said this: "Google is not your friend" they don't have to do anything for you or your business. They have a profitable company and they think as a company. If they want more money they will have to find ways to get it. If a business doesn't like Google's ways, they should be doing something about it. There are a lot of ways to drive traffic without Google. I know Google sucks and we all dance under G's whimp but in the end, we all want money and we need to adjust.

People like to blame others for their down moments.

If you depend on Google to stay in business, quite frankly, you're doing it wrong and should not be in business. I know that sounds a little harsh, and it's perhaps not that black and white, but IMO it is 100% true. I am a parasite on Google's tit. I know my place, and I prepare for it by not being too dependent on them for much of my end of day take home. My income streams are diverse. People need to get their head out of their ass and catch up. People did business before Google, right? Fuck.

And if they are dependent (to each their own) not whine when the world comes crashing down around them.

EDIT: I should say...I like Josh, I like his work and his heart is in the right place. I hope he gets the funding he needs.

Bro couldn't agree more.

Here is what I think about all this. I have no pity for these guys. They deserve what they got simple as that!
Telling drama stories in front of a camera blaming others for the incompetence and ineptitude, come on don't sell me that crap..

Those main stream "business" people, think that they are really something when everything is smooth for them, joining various ventures really unknown for them with confidence of a top notch player, unwilling to develop their knowledge and skills in those new industries and most importantly unwilling to invest for the proper services from the right guys. But when the boat start to shaking, they start to sing other song.

Don't you guys thing for example that old trollop in the video was not advised by some IM guy who know his thing? You should diversify he said to her, you need to have this, this, and that in order to survive online, well ok sounds good she said, how much does it cost - and if the guy was a pro of course said - $$K per month and I got you. From the video we understand that she picked the "economy" package and bit the stick! Obviously this kind of people was trying to play it smart did't want to pay as much as it was needed in order to secure their well being online.

And now most of their kind described above are out of the game.
In the video they said something like "There is a war going on, it's been fought in cyberspace..."

Yea there is a war going on and guess who will survive in that war!

Don't like Google? - Don't use it!

Actually, I love google. If it wasn't for google, there would be no SEO and 90% of us would be working 8 hours job

I like it more because if it wasn't for its updates, Seo would be for everyone and his grandmother.

In any business in the world, you need to learn, practice, try, fail, try again till you get some decent money. Google is helping in turning IM into a business. If you think you should start on a project today and make money next week, then, this is not business !

If you think you can learn IM in 6 months and make a full income website, then this is not business ! Give me any real life example that does that

However, IM happens to pay more than any other business in the world and gives you freedom ( No Boss, No Strict Working Hours) Only your dedication and own will determines how much you can make !

Problem is every one ( Carpenter, Baker , Butcher , Dentist ... Or even someone who found some method somewhere, copied and posted it ) think its google fault for their business failure. Actually, he should thank google for the money he made while it worked
