That is absoultely right, you can make 1 hour videos too, as long as you can keep the viewer hooked throughout, however after the introduction of shorts video format, the attention span of viewers have decreased a lot and its quite tougher to retain viewer attention, so to have more probability of your videos hitting above 70% retention, keep the video length to a sweet spot...like probably around 18-22 mins. retention is the key. If the content is engaging them every couple of minutes they will stay regard less if it is 5 minutes or 45. Video length matters because the newer generations have a short attention spam and you've got to "win" them immediately with a strong hook.
