Do you write content for Google or for people first?

Been thinking abt this a lot lately , like when you sit down to write a new post , what's actually going through your head first- the keyword you are targeting or just answering the question properly.
I begins with the query of the user/intent and then incorporate the keyword seamlessly. If the answer can not help the user in my opinion, there is no point in ranking it.

I usually answer the question directly, then share some additional personal experience, if any.

When I write i analyse the SERP not only the key word. It helps me to under stand what users were really expecting, and then I create content and optimize it.
