Do you write articles on your own?

I've used a few different methods, but where possible I like to write my own stuff. The reasons are too many to list here, but primarily when I write for myself I know exactly what I'm getting, I don't have to pay freelancer rates and I know the progress of the project at any given time.

I have used spinning software but I will say that it has its limitations. You always know when you're reading a spun article. There's just that little disconnect, it's almost like speaking to someone who has learned English by reading a dictionary. It loses a little of its sense, and long-term it isn't brilliant for your traffic, unfortunately.

As for paying for content, I'm not against it. What I would advise is that you find someone who is prepared to take repeat work, who will do it for a fair price and with whom you can develop a good working relationship. They are out there - a lot of good writers are looking for a break and if you're prepared to cultivate a good relationship then you can get some excellent work. Using an outsourcing site is a good way to start, but once you've found a good writer try to keep hold of them rather than putting work out for bids - you can see some dramatic changes in quality if you change writers.

I used to be a writer before and it fells something really different when you write your own articles. Anyways, I outsource all my content projects but when it comes to writing my sales page, I do it myself. Can't trust anyone more than my marketing skills. ! :D
 
I'm very fortunate to live with a professional writer. Her writing allows me to focus on the things I do best.
 
I do some writing for myself otherwise i use the spinnercheif and PLR articles or from websites then i changed them a bit, correct gramar error and such
 
I'v just recently started writing my own articles and have probably saved over $3k a month by writing my own articles.

I simply use 3 programs to write my own articles.

Spinchimp
article enchanter (for article researcher only)
GAP (get article pro)

I use GAP by simply inputting my keyword in to find revelant articles for my keyword i then use article enchanter with the same keyword to research further i then use simp chimp to write my articles.

Each article takes me around 15-25 mins but... i've saved thousands and soon to be hiring a mate to take this on for me and he'll be dishing out 25-50 articles daily which would save and earn me thousands more :)
 
Depends how knowledgeable on the subject I am. If I ain't I outsource if I am I write my own.
 
i write my own articles as well but there are times when I am not in the mood so I just rewrite other articles.. I feel bad though doing this.
 
Well, for just hobbies I manage one blog where I wrote my article all the times. It gives me the satisfaction of having my websites created by me, writed by me. Of course for other thing, I will just scrap around autoblogging.
 
Don't fall into the trap of thinking that every article/2.0 submission has to be a work of art - or like many broke artists everywhere, you'll end up producing very beautiful to look at, but zero commercial output, results. If you want to soapbox on a subject, you've got to build an audience first - get them to your site; where your quality writing and content should be...

Manual spintaxing is the only way forward. But PROPER manual spinning is 3D spinning. ie.

1) Multiple paragraphs and reordering and random substitution.
2) Multiple sentence rewrites and random substitution.
3) Nested braces spinning of sentence chunks and words/word groups.

I mostly order articles. Although sometimes there are topics that I'm the only one who will write the article the way I want.
 
depends on what I need them for!

Quality articles for my blogs I usually leave to my writers... sometimes, if I have time, I do it my self, but that really rear, I think I'll never be that good in english like someone born with it!

If I need articles for spam, I am thinking two ways, for my costumers I outsource it with cheap article writing service with spin on sentence and word level... if I do it for myself, I use many different software to download articles, mix them and spin them. (GetArticle, InstantArticleWizard, ArticlesRewriteAssistant all 3 are free...)
 
All my sites get 100% in house content, from me. I just don't feel comfortable in hiring other writers. But that being said, I have never really had the budget to even consider that option in the past.

I've been borrowing my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th posts from other sources, then manually spinning each word, and my first post, I'd usually look at a few sources and compose something completely of my own. When I get a faster method of doing things, I most certainly will! I crave fast automation! I'd still go through and make sure that syntax is near flawless, but it would really help a lot. But if I come across a program that lets me just highlight a block of text and press a "spin" button (without typing {blah|blah2[|etc]}), I'd immediately migrate.
 
I write around half, and outsource half. I have plenty of time and I really don't mind writing aritcles, and my writing style is extremely professional with little or no errors compared to the people I hire.

Yes, I tried hiring someone to write on a really old project attempt I had.. I seriously spent more time correcting his work than it probably would have taken me to write it from scratch. Granted, he wasn't a native English speaker, and so his style of structuring English sentence structure was more than slightly flawed. It was a learning experience for me.
