Do you write around keywords or topics first?

Prefer starting with the topic & search intent, then mapping the main keyword & related terms into the content, this usually produces more natural, comprehensive articles than forcing a keyword into a predefined structure

I usually start with the topic and search intent, then work the main keywords in naturally. It usually makes the content less forced and easier to cover the subject properly.

First of all I try to understand the search intent, and then I write about that. If I am able to give a lot of knowledge of a topic to my potential clients then I go and do that.

Correct order in my opinion. Intent first and then keywords that fit in there.insisting on exact matches will always result in lower quality content and minimal SEO benefit.

Exactly. There is no point in chasing any trend just because it’s in fashion when it does not suit your target readership. Good clear content that people can easily consume will eventually work.
normally, i start with the problem the article is supposed to solve rather than the keyword. once i have that i analyze the search queries relating to that problem nd base the entire article on those queries. this helps me avoid writing an article that seems too mechaniical.

I prefer the approach that allows me to add more substance and keep the reader on my blog for a longer time period when it comes to writing a blog post for myself.
Topic comes very first for me. I will then look up the keyword variations and applies them only where appropriate instead of trying to forces them into the any article.

Imo Topic tirst followed by selecting the sub topics based on keywords. Beginning the article with a keyword sounds artificial topic first approach usually provides a much more natural flow.

I run my blog with one main subject in mind. Then I write other posts that connect to that same theme. This approach keeps my site neat. It also helps me show expertise on that topic over time.

Same goes for me, Topic + Intent is my first step before anything else. then comes keyword research to look for possible subtopics for my article.

i find it to be a combination of both but more importantly topic. i will try to understand what the reader needs to know about the topic, devellop a rough outline nd then come up with keywords for each part of the outline. the article should not look like it was only written for keywords.
