My 5 day split looks like this: Mon-Chest Tue- Back Wed- Arms Thurs- Legs Fri- Shoulders. For supplements I use the basics like creatine, gluatamine, multi-v and whey. If you want some solid routines and advice, go check out the website T-nation. You will find some awesome info on there.

    Are you just starting out?

If you're just starting out just go for whey powder mate. The cheapest you can source (i get mine from bulkpowders)

go with eas myoplex. They are very easy on the stomach.
Go to costco or bj to get the 5 lb bag that cost around $33. Good value.

Supplements are for cheaters.. Go all natural, eat alot of food, eat foods good for your sperm, and work out a shitload. And you will see your testosterone rise and your body building more muscle.

Cheap whey protein is NOT a good idea, in fact, its a waste of money. Poor quality proteins are not absorbed as much by the body, so your body may only make use of half of a poor quality 40 gram whey protein shake (so you get around 20g) whereas a high quality protein will be used much more by the body and you make get 35-38 grams in one shake (two scoops generally makes one shake).

Until your an advanced lifter whey is all you need, and thats all I take. Creatine and muscle pumpers are definitely bad news.

I use three supplements....CO Q10 for energy and heart health, Omega 3 for the good fat I miss eating lean and the Muscle Milk Whey Protein.

These three have been my staple for years and seem to work magic for weight loss and lean muscle mass.

Whey Protein only won't do the trick; drink one shake of whey right after the workout and two more shakes of slowly absorbing protein throughout the day (casein would be one).

Furthermore, Creatine (5mg/day) and Zinc (~25mg/day) are highly recommended.

Multivitamin/Whey/Creatine are the only one necessary. Also, meal timing is irrevelant so you don't have to take a slow digesting protein before bed or stop eating carbs at 7PM blablabla. It's all bro science.

Alan Aragon (who's a reputated nutritionnist) proved it was all wrong. He also proved you can burn fat/gain muscle by eating what people would say is "dirty food" because body composition is all about calories in versus calories out.

Nope, there are natural supplements like whey protein, it's healthy , and it is also healthy to drink even if you don't workout.

Yeah, whey is natural but what about artificial sweeteners? Whey products contain loads of ace K and Aspartame known to cause serious illnesses. I'd steer clear of these and instead eat a lot of chicken and fish.

You must be buying some real crappy whey products if they contain loads of ace K and Aspartame lol.

Good luck trying to get 180g of proteins each day with chicken and fish. Whey protein is way more convenient and cost-efficient.

just go all natural. Forget about supplements, they are a waste of time and will eventually in the long run cost you a fortune.

Whey protein and BSN N.O. Explode are the supplements that I use. When I'm eating very clean, I also add in some Casein protein before bed.

I agree that if you want to up your protein intake, protein powders are the way to go. I travel a lot and if I want to hit my targets, it's much easier get the protein in shake form. I can almost always find some juice or milk to mix, but it's not always easy to find decent food.
