Do you use Meta Desc in Wordpress?

META tags are not considered for ranking but when your website is seen, your custom text is a most to look legit. I use SEO yoast and works smooth.

You should use meta description it's the thing people read when they search up your site/article. I'd fill it out.
 
I use them mainly to optimize the page. I use SEO Yoast Plugin, get a little creative on the description and put keywords on it.
 
It is very bad idea don't use meta tags on your website. Install "all in one seo pack" as smbd mention before

Why would you not use meta description? It takes all of 15 seconds and can really have an impact on your click through on the serps.
 
I write meta description AND meta tags for my clients' websites, especially for those news websites I'm managing.
 
The meta description is the single most important part of the on page non-seo on your site.

It has nothing to do with ranking anymore except to count as content on the page.

But it is essentially a free ad that google will run showcasing your business. As such it is critical fro your CTR to get it right.
 
Here my store maybe it will answer some of your questions that i had 300 articles in my blog daily uniq visit 70 all had uniq title but none has meta desc
then i had time and rewrite a met it increase the trafic to 300 visitor per day
 
I create a unique description for each of my posts, its more descriptive.
 
Your questions is not precise, but you should keep unique description in each post you have. Just instal Yoast SEO plugin or All in One.
