I definitely do not see any difference between .info and .com in terms of time taken to get indexed and ranking, so starting out you should just get .info. If you go with .com only and you want to build a large network then it can get pretty expensive.

90 percent of the population have no idea what the difference is or how much either cost.coms look way more professional. And if you are doing it right, then you should putting some of the money aside to pay your bills such as domain costs. That's business management 101.
Go with .coms and do it right.
