Apple forces its users to upgrade in many ways. Like they make the picture quality bad in old models at time of launching new model. Do you upgrade to new iphone model every year because of this?

No, I don't. Most of all I like Model X. Maybe I'll like the newest one, but now - not!!!!

I am happy with my Xiamo Red Pro 9. Have been using for 2-3 years. I do not replace my phones frequently, never.

No. I don't upgrade every model.

Also my Iphone XS Max still takes great pictures. Apple does not reduce the quality of the camera on older phones. That phone is now 4 versions old and still works great. I use it for fake reviews :)

Vanity is the only reason most do this, that ' look at me' status, as most times there's no new functionality. Then again, I don't have a phone :)

It's like the numpties who sleep outside the store for 3 days to buy the latest phone, Xbox etc = laughable.

I usually replace every 3 years. However since the smartphones are getting more powerful compared to the software they handle, my next one might reach 4 years.

Unless someone is a power user and actually needs whatever slight performance upgrade, or they wear out devices quickly, a new device every year is essentially a waste of money.

I always use iphone for at least 2 generation, then i will buy new one.

In the last 5 years or so, iphone tech is getting really good there hasn't been much point upgrading every year.

Im still running iphone 11 and its still pretty good. Im getting 3 year phone contracts now too and was out of contract last month. Thought about upgrading, but theres still not much change in iphones again.

I like the idea of smaller notch or no notch at all, the new dynamic island thing looks cool, but to have it on the ultra pro most expensive model only.... nah, I can wait another year when base iphone 15 will most likely have the dynamic island display, then maybe pull the trigger on the iphone 15.

Only true do gooders upgrade their iphone once a year so absofuckingloutely I do!!!

No, you don't need to upgrade your iPhone every year. Apple gives software support/possibility for updating software for 5 years. If your phone has hardware issues or doesn't support the latest update then only think for buying a new phone

Every 3-4 years is enough to be updated with new tech

Still using an iPhone XS. Definitely isn’t true that Apple makes the camera quality worse when a new phone comes out. The photos just look worse in comparison to improved cameras on the new one. The battery has degraded, and I’m tempted to get the 14 Pro this time, but the smart thing would be having my battery replaced if I want to save some money.
