Do you tweet your blog posts or backlinks?

I've gotten into the habit of tweeting every post right after I publish it, as well as tweeting any backlinks I get. I also ping the post, backlink and tweet.

Not sure where I read about this or got the idea, but I figure it can't hurt.


Anyone else? Thoughts?
