Do You Trust Your SEO Intuition?

I trust my gut when something feels off, but I never make a move without checking the numbers first. Data keeps me honest, while intuition saves time. So yeah, I use both, but data wins the tie.

Do you trust your experience when you spot an SEO issue, or do you wait for the data before making changes? I think both experience and data matter. What’s your approach?
I use both. Experience helps identify potential issues quickly, but I prefer to confirm them with data before making major changes. Data tells you what’s actually happening.

I certainly trust my intuition to guide initial direction, but I always seek data confirmation before implementing major changes. While intuition excels at flagging when something seems amiss, relying solely on instinct carries genuine risk. A balanced combination of both is essential for getting it right.

I use intuition to decide where to look, but data decides whether I actually change anything.

Experience is great for spotting patterns; Search Console, analytics, and rankings help confirm the cause.

Agreed. SEO is still important, but I think the key is using data to support decisions instead of relying only on assumptions.

Small SEO changes can be tested without waiting too long, but bigger changes should be checked properly first. That way you can see what actually helped.

I normally rely on experience to find out what could be the problem but in case of significant changes i require data intuition can be used to help formulate the hypothesis but data can be useful in finding out if any change is required at all.

Experience can help spot patterns faster but I prefer the data to back this up. Some things that seems to be an SEO problem may actually be a typical rank fluctuation.

I usually trust experience for quick insights, then validate decisions with data before making major changes.
