Do you trust TrustPilot?

When you find some kind of service you're interested in, you probably would like to check reviews about it, right?
Is trustpilot the most popular reviews platform worldwide? Or where do you prefer to read reviews about the company/service?
Do you trust trustpilot?

I don't trust any online review platform especially Trustpilot. Seems like review sites are quite manipulable

The here and there is here on bhw, where you can buy reviews for anything.

You should not trust anything like that. But you can tell the real reviews a mile off.
 
How can you trust this platform when you can buy reviews for as low as $0.5-1 each from many SMM panels?
I don't even trust Google reviews from my personal experience.
 
We internet marketers may not trust Trustpilot, etc, because we are internet marketers, the websites are our's, so we are at the side of the websites, where we know "what is what". But, one thing is for sure. Our website visitors, potential buyers and buyers do trust Trustpilot, etc reviews and that is why every almost website that sells something, seems to nowadays chase Trustpilot reviews in order to display or demonstrate some trust factor.

That is true, though even a retard should be able to see a real "Joe" would not go to the trouble of signing up just to write "5* great burger" :)

Nah, I don’t trust these sites, I look for personal reviews from the avg joe when researching products.

Trustpilot pretty well works with scammers and detects their positive reviews. So their system is one of the best. But it is not ideal.

As I see it, they allow big companies things that they don`t let small companies, so it is not a fair game. And anyway, there are a lot of methods to manipulate such ratings. So it is not ideal, and trusting them for 100% doesn`t make sense.

You need to understand that people, by their nature, don`t leave positive feedback in most ways (lazy, don`t have enough time), so there is no need to say something good. So companies need to ask the clients to leave feedback, give some bonuses, or other things that encourage them to leave reviews every time. But TrustPilot prohibits this.

If the users don`t get a positive experience, they come and leave negative feedback. So in most cases, such platforms are a nightmare for small and middle companies. But help improve their service and quality. But I also see that even if the company fixes some issues, the client doesn`t care to delete their review or help the company in this way. Not all but many. Frustrating things.
 
Well it depends. If you don't know anything about the website or service, I think TrustPilot is your only bet to know about them. In my opinion a reputable brand will never use fake reviews or bots, their reviews will be authentic and you can easily find out the difference between Bot reviews and Real reviews. Additionally, TrustPilot moderators are always reviewing reviews and removing the fake ones so I would say yes I kind of Trust TrustPilot.
 
I have added probably thousands of fake Trustpilot reviews 2 years ago so I can identify the fakes ones quite easily but I still keep looking different profiles up if dealing with new sites/businesses.

Most reviews can be bought like google reviews so I must say I don't trust this trustpilot as well.

No. In fact it is difficult to find a trusted review system. Everything is managed and reviews can be bought for cheap. There is no point in trusting them.

It is very difficult or almost impossible to find a really reliable rating system.
The reviews that appear on GMB, Trustpillot, Amazon, Fiverr are easily faked.

I thought an exception might be Airbnb/Booking, but there are also services to buy reviews on those sites, unfortunately it is hard to know the quality of something by buying it on the internet.
 
haha have seen a lot of ads related to TrustPilot, how can I trust it.

Most of them.

If you add more than 100 reviews or around that to a single profile then they most likely get taken down.. I didn't add all these reviews to a single profile.

doesn't stop people from being able to make thousands of accounts and add 1 review each
