Hey,

I just read this article https://originality.ai/ai-content-detector-false-positives/ where they claim the following:

The article summary is...

"False positives occur ~2% of the time

What is considered AI and what is considered Original.
  • AI-Generated and Not Edited = AI-Generated Text.
  • AI-Generated and Human Edited = AI-Generated Text.
  • AI Outline, Human Written and heavily AI Edited = AI-Generated Text.
  • AI Research and Human Written = Original Human-Generated.
  • Human Written and Edited with Grammarly = Original Human-Generated.
  • Human Written and Edited = Original Human-Generated."
What are your thoughts on originality ai?

Since it has many times detected human written content too as AI there's no reason for me to trust it or any other AI detector tool.
Also, with a better constructed prompt you can generate good response that can beat these detectors.
And no point to use these when the search engines have no issue with AI content.
Well SEO optimized AI content ranks and performs good at least in my case.

The only thing I am concerned about is the facts and plagiarism which should be minimum 75%.

After using it for quiet some time, I can almost tell its really good with detecting AI. Even AI generated with light human editions like adding few words to the paragraph can be detected as AI.

No I don't trust them, Is a big no no for me. I think there site has so security issues

It doesn't work, like all the other similar tools. None of them are reliable.

After using it for a while, I nearly feel like it has pretty amazing AI detection. Even AI produced with little human edits, such as the addition of a few words to a paragraph, can be recognized as AI.

There is no use buying this tool. Sometimes it detects human written text as AI written.

It isn't a reliable tool on my opinion. Why? Because it labeled my human writing as AI. So, considering I'm not a robot, originality.ai doesn't work that well. What we know so far is that Google doesn't seem to like AI-generated text, but there's no official tool that detects it.

After use for many months, no.

Short answer: No.
Long answer: No.

After being caused of using AI to write content, claiming that originality says it is not written by a human, I did some serious research. It turned out that even some of my articles from 2016 were marked as probably not written by a human, so definitely, this and other similar sites are not reliable.
The real problem is how to prove to people ordering written content from me that I am telling the truth.

Here are some tips that you might find helpful:
1. Write directly in Google Docs to show version history as proof that you are not using AI.
2. Record the screen...
3. Record yourself typing on a keyboard with at least two cameras. Just kidding.

I hope this helps.

Originality.ai is total crap...

Also, did you guys know that the Bible was written by our savior, the almighty AI?

If even OpenAI's tool was not able to detect it accurately, how can you trust an outside tool to predict an AI article completely?: "As of July 20, 2023, the AI classifier is no longer available due to its low rate of accuracy.” Source

And I still get asked if my AI content passes originality AI :D
