In general?

A while back, I was in a group and there was a lawyer as well. We were in a business project altogether. Usually in these situations, I expect lawyers to back someone else up and not say anything, but I have seen a few lawyers jumping into things.

This lawyer looks almost like Dr. Phil but with an edge I guess. He announced us in a initial meeting a day ago. When he called me up again the next day, he asked me what time it was, and said why it was late? "It's late because you guys keep Fucking Around!!!"

I said it wasn't my fault, they want to know if he was a real lawyer with a bar code. I guess he was kind enough to provide it then.

In another time, he asked me out of all of us, who do I trust??? "Let me make it easier for you.... I am the lawyer in this" "He" "She" "is not" "Who do you trust???"

I said I trust him.
I just wanted to get out of this ordeal.
If you know what I mean.

He could have been by himself and not under someone else, but I didn't even bother to check, so I saved my breath.

I wonder what are other's take on lawyers.

I remember in one of those Tyler Perry Maedea movies where Maedea was going on a rant about lawyers. Something about how they've practically got "lie" in their name. "Lie-o-yers".

i can't think of a bigger red flag as someone saying "trust me". trustful people don't need to say that!
i've dealt with lawyers for many legal issues in my life. some of my customers are even lawyers. they get bad rep and it's all true :D. but end of the day they are human just like you.

In my country the lawyers creates the laws and breaks them. Its called the criminal justice system only criminals and criminal attorneys get "justice".:)

Most of the times I have found that lawyers are good. Once I met a lawyer he treated me in a good manner.

Once I saw a bus full of attorneys get into an accident. The bus was completely destroyed and no one survived.

It made me depressed and sad because, right before the accident, I saw a few seats in that bus were empty.

(It's just a joke)

When I said I trusted him, I can sense he was actually trying to laugh, but I wasn't in the mood to cooperate any further anyways. Really I already lost trust in him beforehand.

The thing with that is you will always trust the lawyer you select, but in general for other matters where that is not your lawyer, could be a different story.

i trust lawyer but not all

depends how much you pay them, but i have seen legal aid go above and beyond

their success rate is getting you off the firing line... obviously you'd want to trust one

my last experience with lawyer is he gone missing, office shut down in the middle of my case, despite the money i spend. so yeah i don't trust them

I trust lawyers 100% to do whatever is right for them at any given moment.

Maybe a bit of a cynical attitude, but I'm sure you get my drift...

no but we knew some people with high reputation that has friends there so it's all good.
