Do you think traffic will come in automatically only by relying on content?
NO Seo, other than some on-page SEO.
If you are good at writing and can write 5 articles if not more on a daily basis and add on your site!
Do you expect some traffic without any off-page or link building SEO?
If yes how much traffic and for how long time you need to wait until you get some satisfactory result or traffic before you give up!

I never thought it did. I always search alternative traffic sources. Google is ever-changing and I'd hate to rely on only them. all eggs in one basket you know

I have done it without link building, but need to find KWs Easy to Medium comp only.
You need heaps load of content too (work in my case).
Also, it depends how broad your niche, if you're targeting micro niche, its not do-able.
On-page SEO, in this case, is most important. > Build each category to be super focus on one specific "thing", "stuff", whatever you're targeting. For my case, at least 30k words spreading out in 8-15 articles and interlinked them.
 
Yes, but it can take months. google will check your site time to time and test it. if the content is good and original google will increase your rankings

Yes, true. But not too long, it will still take only from 3 months up to 6 months. Depending on the amount of content you published. The more regular content you publish also increase your chance of being notice by big G.
For myself, I just uploaded all articles in same category in the same day/week, interlinked and then done. Take around a month or two for Google to get my keywords in those categories rank.
 
read from those SEO expert, the problem now is hard to rank new site even sometimes old site , because every day new sites come out , old sites some maybe improving as time go by etc . If they can daily push the site for traffic , and you just let your site stay there do nothing never share in social media etc they surely overtake. Don't get Google update , also mess up everything. Check some members despite they daily improving their site , their ranking etc can suddenly drop due to Google update messing around.
 
Links are a big part of the algorithm and u gonna simply ignore them? I wouldnt do that bro.
 
Yea and where do you expect to get traffic from?
You need proper keyword research => look for low competitive low volume lomg tail keywords and use 20 as sub headlines in each article and stack them up
If every phrase is searched by 10 people monthly and u got 25.000 of those spreaded on 350 articles on ur site, you ll have easily 40.000-100.000 visitors even if you just rank on place 5 SERP 1, as there is no competition and u specifically answer the exact phrases you should land on place 1 page 1 in 99% of the cases

For link building, use a passive link building strategy by using stats, and give ur methods or strategies a name so it gets quoted!!!

After a couple months when google trusts ur site, you will get traffic without doing anything, for years, depending on the topic

Ofc pay attention to all basic seo stuff and you got this

yes, eventually. but this is the slow move. not to mention sites without links, will eventually get ran over by google updates. build links

Dont try to fool google, they will always detect that you try to improve authority of a site artificially, that s why the People building aggressively links have traffic breakdowns after google Updates

I think he's not saying he wasn't gonna build links, just want to focus first on content.

And draco02 just answered about passive link building. You meant people will link to content sooner or later when they found the content useful?

Yea he mention mainly post content never share to social media and backlinks. What I see even come backlinks also hard as mention now so many sites surface out daily not to mention Google update also messing around.

For news or general content site, I think if you have 10K unique articles with a little bit of keyword focusing, you should get decent traffic.

If you are good at SEO, 10-100 niche-focused articles are all you need. But niche-specific websites might be hard to expend comparing with the general content sites.

So you see, it depends on your content.

It's a volume game. When the number is there, anything is possible.

It's possible. If you cranked out that much output I'm sure someone will stumble upon it (by accidental SEO perhaps) and love your stuff.

But jeez, it's not a strategy I'd rely on. Active, ruthless self-promotion all the way brother.
 
1. Write good quality articles with 1500+ words each.
2. Initially, articles should be targeted on low or medium competition keywords.
3. Keep writing and don't expect results.
4. Wait for a 6-8 months.

Your site will have decent traffic.

However, if you want; you can build a few outreach links to your homepage.
