A site of mine has been banned 2 weeks ago for the reason of ad mimicking. It's like your content and ads should'nt be same color although if there is a line between them. So how about this, Ask.com is using adsense with completely camuflaged ads within the content.

Check this;
ask.com/web?q=Free+Government+Credit+Report&qsrc=6&o=0&l=dir

First five results are google ads.

What do you think ?

That is certainly not fair. But you've got to remember; Google is the god. It doesn't need to be fair. So you never assume it will be.

that sucks your site got banned, google gives and takes away just as fast

i think they consider ask a partner so adsense is not same also ask uses some search result from G so they allow to do more because they do way more $ in click

If you have premium adsense account u can do what ever u want. They wont care. You can place more than three blocks in same page, you can change font and design of the ad. But we cant do anything mate... Google sucks...

those are adwords ads. ask.com is a google adwords partner. it's fair because ask.com is a massive search engine that's partnered with google, and you're not. do you think you deserve the same kind of treatment without doing any of the work that ask.com did to get that far? srsly, that would be more unfair than anything.

It's not fair, one day Google will be taken over by something newer and better too!!

I can show you 10's of sites doing the same and google ignores that placement.

Maybe one day. But they will be around for the foreseeable future, and it really doesn't matter if it's fair or not. Ultimately, most people here collect a rather large paycheck from Google, either through adwords or the search volume directed at their sites, and little of that is changed by Google's treatment of Ask.com.
Google is ultimately here to make money providing a service that people want, just like me, and just like most of this forum. Yes, you can nitpick about what lines they are crossing in that pursuit (just as much as you could nitpick about what lines we cross in attempting to profit from it), but it is ultimately irrelevant. What matters is that, despite their unfairness, we need to focus on working symbiotically with the behemoth instead of criticizing the finer points of its actions.

I bet you never had them marked up as "ads" or "sponsored advertising."

The reason they get so pissed is the accidental clicks will be draining peoples adsense budgets and they don't like to piss off paying customers with shit return on investment.

In reality it was fair that they stopped you :D

I agree, google increased my turnover for a service based company a small fortune in the last 6 months, that's just free traffic. But you still get pissed when google do stuff you don't like :D

I LOVE GOOGLE :pirate: I would marry google if it was a person....

You know what dude I got slammed by some people for getting super pissed at google. I never been screwed by them but I see from people like you that they are so not fair.

They want to talk about seperating ads? How bout check your gmail. and tell me when you have ads that match the content of your email and yet they will ban you and keep your money because your ads are the same color.

Sorry dude. BH all the way. Why try to break your back to follow google TOS when you still get canned even when legit?

Peace.
