In another way to ask do you think it is worth the investment to do good seo for your websites to provide years of benefits for websites? Do you expect search engines to be big like it is down the road and still doable for small businesses?

Thanks

The benefits of ORGANIC traffic will last till we have search engines on internet. And search engines will exist till we have internet in this world!

If you want to invest on SEO, you need to invest on something that will force your visitors to link back your site automatically (its linkbait and that's what Google wants). It will last years to come! Think of a site like webmd in health niche!

The forceful and unethical attempt to rank your site is what we call SEO today is always temporary. Its about getting ranked and earned, then getting ranked and earned and so on! You need to constantly make a site over and over again and follow the latest SEO loophole to manipulate Google! That is CHURN AND BURN (It may last a week, month or even an year as well) ..

The best of all strategies is to start investing on your own content network that not only produce links to your money site but also provide some readable high quality content grabbing referral visitor as well. This is indeed long term!

Yea, i think they will be profitable and worth investing for the next 2-5 years.

I use Search almost everyday, and at least a 5-10 times per day. And i can't see myself use anything else in the short future.

In a few years, you won't need to leave Google to search.

100% Agree with you.

It is worth every penny if your business is long term. Otherwise move on.

Most of the Business queries are generated from the Google. Undoubtedly, people are becoming Google-Awared in Asia especially and Now they are giving their first priority to the Google and Trust for Business.

Until the end of the internet, SEO will be a valuable weapon.

SEO is one thing that will be here for a long long time

If it was a temporary thing, search engines would not be as strict in updating their algo.

SEO is worth doing if you're serious about your business for sure, and seb_ali nailed down the best thing to do for long-term success, which is essentially to focus on high quality content. The rest can and will take care of itself if the content is compelling enough.

SEO has one of the biggest ROI , so there is no end to it .. Google will try to make better algorithm structures and SEO will continue to make its way.
Online Marketing is evolving and people are getting more aware to that, so business owners are piling up money to spend on google.

Yes I totally agree with you, but it's difficult to find a long-term business. Most of us just individuals not a team or not have that capital to invest, not everybody has a long-term. So you probably also need to learn to make a living in temporary if you dabble into internet marketing.
