Hi guys, I just had an idea and I wanted to share with us and discuss if its doable.

I will explain you the idea with an example.

I live in Mallorca (Spain) an island located in the mediterranean sea. Mallorca has a population of 862.397 spread over 53 villages.

My idea is to create facebook pages for every village in Mallorca, for example "People from Alcudia" (Alcudia is a village), and then with an automated facebook friend adder, add people from Alcudia with the message: "Are you from Alcudia? Join in!" or something like that.

Once we have the 53 pages of the villages and the local people has join in them we have to contact with local offline business that want to advertise in your village facebook page, also it'll be posible to advertise on the facebook page of the nearby villages.

Let's supose that we charge 10€ to a local business for promoting their offer on our village page. That means that we can earn 530€/day. 10€ is a very low cost price because their offer will be seen by 1.000 - XX.XXX people.

Of course we can charge more in the villages or cities that have more population as we've got more page friends.

Sorry for my bad english and ... what do you think? its doable?

    Thanks in advance.

Personally, I think it's a brilliant idea. It remind me when I was knocking on businesses' doors in Fuerteventura to build their websites, back in 1995.
I charged 250.000 Pts for a 4-5 pages sites and 25.000 Pts for each update.
I was hand coding and did those sites in a couple of hours...
