Do you think I can sell my website ?

Hello everybody!

I currently have a website that is #1 on Google for its main keyword (1900 exact searches) and #2 for a secondary keyword (1600 exact searches). It currently brings around 100 visitors per day.

The website is about the recipe niche, and it is in French.
I have Adsense on the site, but it doesn't bring much. To tell you the truth, my best month was 5$.
Right now, I think that it is not worth it to be working on this site anymore, so I'm planning on selling it on Flippa.

My question is : do you think it can be sold? And if it can, how much do you think I can hope to get ?

I'd like to get some money to invest on other projects.

I think you probably would have better luck selling at different webmaster forums having marketplace section. With the flippa listing fee, you wouldn't end up getting much.

On flippa sites sell for approx 6-10 months worth of revenue.
If your best month was $5, you probably won't get even $30 on flippa. Don't even bother trying to sell it there.

Try to selling somewhere else but don't put to much effort into it, if you fail to get a good amount you will have wasted even more time.

If it doesn't sell, the best thing you can do is stop working on it and just leave it hanging there while focusing on other projects. It will make a few bucks per month and at least pay for itself (domain+hosting) with no more work involved.

I have a few "failure" sites like this as well (we probably all do ), I guess you can't win every time
But they don't cost anything as they at least pay for themselves. And if I don't even get any benefit from them I drop the domain at the next renewal.

100 visitors per day could be monetized pretty nicely. Should make 5 dollars per day with ease.
My advice would be to try squeeze page a bit, try other templates (more click friendly)

People on Flippa only care about revenue so you won't get much. Seems like there nobody can think outside the box and realize that maybe they could make more with it.

yes, that sounds about right, dont spend to much time on it, a good entrepreneur know when to cut his/her losses and move on.

Try selling some books from Amazon or content locking. I have similar problems on many sites. I either try to change theme and ad placing or monetize them not only with Adsense. I believe your problem about low click rate is that you have all the information that the visitors are looking for and so they don't need to click on ads. In such case you can either change monetarization method or go a little bit more as authority site and have some interesting posts that grab attention but not really have some valuable content. That way you will have the initial traffic that will then click on other posts ( hopefully) and if you get them interested in the topic, they may click an ad (it looks very complex but I made it work 2 out of 3 times...) my site is 150 visit/day and earn $5/day(10% click rate), it was made of crappy content, so I guess the only value info is the ad, anyway i use prosense modifed by myself, and here is some other themes like: clickbump, ctrtheme or some other customized themes for getting good click rate, don't sell it and try to twist it

Post the site so we can see it, how can we value it if we cant see it.

if its legit traffic, maybe throw in a opt-in box and collect leads. Build a list and sell to it later or pick some EBook from CB/amazon.

But as said above do not spend to much time and money on it. Most ppl simply won't pay you for the potential or great idea and foundation. Most ppl on flippa just want to be spoonfed. It actually sickens me to see shitty brand new cookie cutter sites sell for hundreds over and over again just because of some overinflated "revenue" while some real great sites are not even looked at. Shame.
