While they might do that (and I'm sure they have at least considered it) actually USING any of that information in a way that would harm other businesses would be illegal.

Most of what we on BHW do is not actually illegal (even spamming is not illegal in many coutries, the US is way stricter than just about anywhere in the world. Most of the world - as an individual, you can do pretty much what the hell you like - legally. (not ETHICAL, not MORAL - but yes - LEGAL) there is a big difference.

However if Google use private information for their own advantage. and block LEGAL activities , then they could be right royally fucked.

Imagine a class action lawsuit for unlimited loss of earnings from 2000+ BHW members (at least those from outside the draconian US internet area)

Their name would be tarnished, and their bank balanced lightened.


It's why, when I see grade A &ssholes on this site look to cross the boundary into damn right illegal activites aimed at f%cking up the lives of private citizens that my blood boils. (essp when the tw&ts think they have found some magical loophole that makes it legal)

That sort of stuff IS being watched by google, and international fed agencies to name a few.

That's the sort of stuff that could see entire sites like this flushed down the shitter.

It is a reasonable bet some Google employees visit the site but it is probably more of an ad hoc effort rather than a concerted organized effort on their part. No doubt a few of the email threads at BHW have been shared and have been source of mirth among them. Think of the laughs they might get reading our efforts at trying to understand the beast. Of course, then they take note when we hit on something!

I think by the time anything makes it into this forum Google has already figured it out and closed any loopholes. If anything was a fantastic method the person wouldn't share it. Most the time methods are old news before they make this forum.

There is not a place where google cannot go. They are everywhere and in a way it is good for SEO. Is it not?

I definitely agree that Google has plenty of people that roaming the web trying to find what people do to improve their SERPs and other things.

It wouldn't surprise me if they did but I really doubt they pay too much attention. Anything that is posted on this forum is already not cutting edge anymore.
