Do you think Earn.ws worth?

Hello,

I just won auction on flippa for 200USD.
But is it a mistake choosing a .WS domain?

Earn.ws is the domain, my wife wants to build blog In IM niche and I ended up winning the domain for her. She says that its useless.
I was looking for some premium domain and this one attracted me, is it really premium?

I am not much in to flipping premium domains, so any suggestion would greatly help.

All domains "worth" are worth the same, its just the content of the site. Say "site.com" is just sitting there, unused; and then "site.ws" is taking initiative and actually generating profit. It is all a matter of promotion, whoever reaches a greater audience wins. Once there is decent content on the site and you are making money, it would be a worth-wile investment to get a domain that better suits your blog.

The market/re-sell value of that particular domain name is definitely below the $200 so in that sense, you got raped.

On the other hand, domains are worth exactly how much the buyer is willing to pay and since you didn't buy the domain for re-selling purposes, only you can determine whether it was a worthwhile investment or not. If you like the domain and think you can build your (wife's) site on it then it was a good investment. If not, then it wasn't.

It's kind of catchy. Brand it and have quality content and no one will care that its .ws
