Do you think E-E-A-T is still misunderstood by clients?

Clients keep asking me to "add E-E-A-T" like it’s a single plugin. I find it's more about consistency across branding, content, and authorship.

How do you explain E-E-A-T to someone non-technical?

Eeat takes time and clients dread doing anything long term. They want quick fix because they are hiring you or spending money. That's the reason.

Here’s a sharper, BHW-style version. Clients often misunderstand E-E-A-T—it’s not a plugin. Simply put:
“Google shows content from people and sites it trusts. E-E-A-T means proving you know your stuff, are credible, and consistently trustworthy.” Focus on quality content, clear authorship, and a trustworthy brand, that’s E-E-A-T in action.

I’m still new to this, but from what I get E-E-A-T just means making your site look real and trusted. Like showing you know the topic, keeping things consistent, and not looking spammy. That’s how I’d explain it to someone non-technical.

Most clients misunderstand E-E-A-T because they see it as a tactic, but it’s really a mix of authority signals across content and branding.

@IM Dude True, many clients want fast fixes. But E-E-A-T is more about building lasting reputation and consistent content quality, branding, and trust over time.

@John CH Well said and E-E-A-T isn’t a plugin. It’s showing Google & users you know your stuff, have credibility, and remain trustworthy

@Dunsf86 E-E-A-T basically means your site looks real and trusted. Showing topic knowledge, being consistent, avoiding spammy signals

@seo crazy Right. A lot of misunderstanding comes from thinking E-E-A-T is just a tactic. It’s really many signals working together
