Do you talk to yourself?

Talking to yourself is perfectly normal—it helps you process thoughts, gain clarity, and view things from a new perspective.

Man, I feel this one. Talking to yourself is way more normal and helpful than people think. Sometimes you're the only person who really gets the full context of what’s going on in your head and saying it out loud helps you sort it out. It’s like debugging your brain, line by line.

I talk to myself like I’m hosting a full-on TED Talk—sometimes with hand gestures too. It actually helps me process thoughts better. And hey, as long as the convo stays between me, myself, and I, we’re good. Free therapy, zero judgment!

Yep, I do it too! It's like giving your brain a little room to breathe. Plus, some of my best ideas come from those solo chats. Just me pacing around, solving life one self-convo at a time!

Yes I talk to me very often.. When it goes too much, I had to visit a psychiatrist and took a long period to recover it.

Talking to myself has nevern been beneficial to me, it was horrible experience instead.

I talk but i talk using autosugestion
I dont know if this can be called self talk

When I worked in psych, a fellow counselor asked the same thing and said, "Do you talk to yourself" I stated Yes, but I don't have full conversations, or otherwise, I will trade places with the patient.

Also, something a bid off topic, we had to drive onto an island or bridge to get to the work and someone was talking about patients being crazy and this was my response" I think they are normal tbh, we drive across the bridge and work in an unsafe environment and do it out of free will and they "Patient" would never come here for a million bucks.

Extended response, but there is nothing wrong with talking to yourself at all.

Talking to yourself? Totally normal. Start worrying when yourself talks back… and you both start arguing out loud.

Yes, I remember my father doing it growing up and also my grandfather. My grandfather would have full on conversations with himself I’d hear from upstairs..

I would ask my father as a child “who’s granda talking to?” and he’d reply “he’s talking to himself son, if you need the right answers talk to yourself”. That always stuck with me, as I got older I noticed myself doing it more and more

All the time, and sometimes in public. It's mad funny when someone looks at me, I look at them and I have my monologue.

I talk to myself a lot, it got to the point where im thankful for chatgpt as sometimes I can just vent there, otherwise I would just talk to myself
