I'm gonna start taking supplements regularly again. This is what I have for now.

Vitamin D - because I don't get out much, and I don't live in a sunny place

Spirulina - has lots of protein, and I need to gain weight. It also has a lot of other good stuff

Vitamin C - plenty of reasons. I'm a smoker. I think Vit C is great for a whole host of reasons

Probiots - gut flora, good bacteria, i think its good

Fish oil - frankly, I don't remember. But I have some from the last time I took supplement, and I must've had a good reason to include it haha

And everything I take is oroganic, vegan-approved, no gmo, no gluten, no starch, no sugar, bla bla bla. It's the good expensive stuff, not the cheap crap.

Do you guys take supplements? Which ones? Why?

Spirulina and/or wheatgrass - works well for me but I find Spirulina tough to take at times
Protein - not too much, helps fill me up and good since I weight train a bit
Zinc occassionally

You mean difficult because you take it in powder form and the taste is most unpleasant?

Fish oil is bad, the omega 3 in fish oils oxidise readily, potentially producing free radicals and promoting a pro-inflammatory effect.
Hemp oil is a far more stable alternative if your looking for omega 3. With the presence of gla especially contributing to stability, you get a broader and more stable spectrum of fatty acids than you ever could from any fish oil products.

Yeah in powder form the taste is vile.
I bought a big tub of it thinking it was my usual combo powder, but it was pure Spirulina.
I decided to finish the tub eventough it was !$%£^, just as punishment for making the mistake. I did finish it and I felt good but it was tough

Nope but, at 43, I am going to start taking them because my body is already started to give me signs it no longer capable of keeping up with my "toxic" lifestyle (sedentarism, lack of exercise, and poor diet), I need to make some drastic changes in my life if I want to see my 11y old daughter graduating from college, walk her down the aisle and enjoy grandkids.

hahahahaa I sooo feel you :D

About 10 years ago when I first got Spirulina I got it in powder form, because that way is best right.

And it was fucking hard taking it. No matter where you put it, it just takes over the taste, and the taste is horrible.

So now I just take it in pill form. Maybe it's not best, but it's the best I can stomach :p

I'd soldier through and take the powder form, but knowing how it tastes just at least subconsciously would make me take it less, and I don't want that.

Yeah I take Triple Omega at the moment, really helps me out a lot.

Creatine (helps with energy and focus for me), fish oils, and calcium + magnesium supplement. The rest I get from my 2 green drinks I make daily.

I take Vitamins B, C, D, and Zinc 2x daily, and the PAGG stack (courtesy of Tim Ferris - Policosanol, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Garlic Extract, and Green Tea Extract) 6 days a week for weight loss and maintenance.
