It's not feasible to do a serious amount of work on a computer without a mouse unless you are some masochist.
do you still uses a computer mouse?

If I'm using my laptop without a mouse, I imagine my laptop thinking, "Why hasn’t this guy turned me off? Look, his kids are playing with me!

I personally like trackpoints over touchpads
but mouse is way superior
I tried this once. I will never use it again.

Yeah, I still use a mouse, even with laptops. It feels more comfortable and precise for me.

I've been a long-time Logitech user but got tired of every Logitech, even the expensive ones, developing the double-click problem after 2-3 years of moderate use.
Using the small AmazonBasics for 4 years without any issues, but I am shopping for a more ergonomic model. The Lamzu Thorn is currently my #1 pick, with Keychron M2 and ATK X1 as alternatives,
