Do you still have good results with GSA ?

Hi there,

Let me introduce myself. I am French (sorry for my English...) and I am running 2 online shops. Times are hard and I am trying to survive with these websites revenues. I didn't know a thing about SEO until 3 months ago when I saw one of my new competitor going directly #1 google position. I was wondering how it can be possible until I analyzed this website with Ahref... I saw a tons of BL on articles with really badly spin French text. Since I decided to investigate and I read A LOT of things on this forum and I spent hours looking at video tutorial.

I began to Buy 2 packages (2 weeks ago) to increase ranking on some keywords (no results yet... too early I think). But I really want to make my own multi-tier campaign coz buying package is quite expensive.

So here is my question : With recent google updates do you think we can still have good results with GSA (or other tools) ? I think that the key points are CONTENT and TIER 1 LINK QUALITY. I can easily handle the CONTENT part but I am a bit scared in creating a TIER 1 link quality.

I've been using GSA SER to rank an e-commerce site with some good results for a couple of months. However don't think whatever you decide to do is safe. It can be safer in the long run if you use somewhat good content on your tier 1, diversify your anchor text and use GSA for tier 2 and 3 but again, you can never be 100% safe from a penalty.

same advice here ... no gsa as tier 1. do it manually. you don't need 1000 links in tier 1 ... a couple well done tier 1 links, boosted up ,have more effect and are save.

Good Advice there, GSA is good for tier 2 links (boosting the tier 1's) and it's still effective and gets the job done nicely.

When you say that you create Tier 1 manually, how do you proceed ? You mean create article on website like about.me, scoop.it, etc.. and boost these links ?
If you have good article on how to create a good tier1 manually I would really like to get it.

I was always wondering : It seems very easy to be penalized with bad linking strategy so to be logic it's as easy to kill one competitor by using ugly massive links against him... Why no one speak about it ? I don't mean I want to do this, it's just that I was always septic when someone says that it's easy to be penalized because I was thinking that google won't give a gun to people to kill their competitor.... (Not sure I am clear... )

Yes, post high quality content with your link on sites where it's allowed. Web 2.0 sites are the most popular for this, but you can also look for higher quality article submission sites, microblogs, even some social bookmarks sites. The key is that the website itself is of better quality (not already spammed to death) and your content is passable so it doesn't get deleted.

Edit: and then you can boost these links with a GSA campaign.

Ok I see. It seems that I have a lot of work in front of me

My current main interrogation is concerning Tier1 building: Some people are building private network. Is it to make their own tier1 articles and boost them with GSA or other tools ?
