hi guys,

just curious as to how many people on here who earn their living online from home, smoke weed while they work?

I have been earning "seriously" online for the last 4 or 5 months now, mainly freelancing but doing personal IM projects on the side.. I am earning a lot more than I need right now (don't wanna say the amount).. Now, for the punchline: I have been stoned the entire time.. yeah, I live in a place where it is dirt cheap for ganj, so I'm not blowing all the money I earn or anything. I'll admit that sometimes when I get high, I lose interest in my work, but 90% of the time it puts me in the right mindset, creative and interested, and on long days when I have to spew out 12 hours of writing or web design, ganja is what gives me the mindset to sit it through.. I honestly have not noticed any negative side effects when it comes to intelligence, productivity, creativity etc.. and am earning more than ever now..

I just love the fact that I can sit on my couch while getting baked with my girlfriend and also earn us both a great living at the same time!

Any of you blaze it up when working IM? if so, how does it effect your productivity?

Now you should ask yourself if you can do the same work without getting high which I'm pretty sure you do. It's more likely if you prefer to smoke during the day yourself which is your life style and not a business related thing.
 
I only do it as a reward after hard days of work. If I smoke when I have a lot of things left to do I end up doing nothing.

Yeah sure, I can do the same work without smoking, but I have a better time when I do, am just wondering if any other ppl on here feel the same way..
 
As for anything in life, abusing it won't bring you any good. Weed is still a drug, some people argue that they got better social skills when drunk. Doing any type of activity under the influence of a drug is definitely going to have an impact on the results.

It seems that you are pointing the results to weed, and that will only lead you to a heavier consumption. I can guarantee that if you are going to go "big"; you will need a lot more than just the "fun" side of the business. Business is 80% about legal shit and 20% about the fun stuff. I would personally recommend you to stir away from weed, maybe leave it as a "reward" after you've put in your hours of work.

End of the day, its your choice and you will see how your actions affect the results; but if you are planning to run a legit business, I would advice you not to touch it during working hours.
 
I used to smoke a lot while working. Not anymore.

And yes, I totally get that you might benefit from it when it comes to getting in the mindset for the most menial repetitious tasks. It is also a good energizer (actually). A spliff at 2am can keep me going until 5am. Wish I had some right now as a matter of fact. But Ganj is NOT cheap where I am this month. I just don't want to spend 500 bucks a month to keep me toasted at the level I want to be.
 
How I wished I could easily smoke that here in where I'm living now. But I'm planning to go somewhere soon for a few weeks where I can enjoy the nature and smoke some while doing my IM work. Hopefully the productivity would be better!
 
NO, I drink lot of water and I'm peeing every 20 min lol

Yeah I do totally know what you mean.. It is not like I can't work without smoking first, if I need to go get some, I will make sure I get my checklist done for the day, I would never put it first, and if i have something such as a skype meeting, I'll hold off til after. one of the main reasons I am doing it now is i often have a hard time staying in focusing on working because I am in the Algarve, beside multiple beaches, it is summer everyday here. I like outside. If I have a smoke it clears my head and makes me better at prioritizing the work , or something.. I know its a drug,have seen a few friends back home lose their life inhibitions completely from smoking, but it effects everyone differently, for some people it can be a curse, for some people it can be a blessing..
 
Why is your girlfriend sitting on the sofa getting baked with you?
If she isn't working then tell her to pay for her own weed.
Send her out to get a bar job.
I know you are a young guy and want to treat her, but if you want to be successful as a couple, then you both need to work at it or you will have problems later.

haha, yeah.. she was working full time, but the truth is, I am making more € in 1.5 hours then she was earning in a restaurant 10+ hours a day. Portugal's wage is pitiful, and only seasonal. moving country soon and you can bet yo ass she'l be getting back out there then, but in the meantime I enjoy her company, the house being cleaned every day and all meals cooked.. :)
 
I am weed smoker, but I very rare smoke when I am working, I have tested for me it is does effect productivity, it is decreasing it 100 times, you think that you did a lot of work, but actually not, because you can not be very concentrated when you stoned as hell)). But I have nothing wrong to smoke a join or pair after you done tasks of the day, it is same like for someone glass of wine or beer after hard working day, it is not useful but it is personal right to choose way to relax.

Moral: Smoke after work

Regarding my wife, she does not work as well and I do not think that it is wrong, she actually do a lot of home staff, like cooking, cleaning, washing and other million staff girls do all day long)) Another reason is very low salary where we live, it is shame for this money working 5*8 hours.

On my opinion nothing wrong if one from couple does not work, if they feel it is right for themselves
 
For years I only concentrated on how high I was. Then one day I got really high then started thinking about my projects then new ideas just started coming to me. I had so many ideas I started writing them down, then I got so many ideas I got tired of writing shit down all the time.
 
If you need it to work, you're doing something wrong. And you getting high with your girlfriend on the couch and not having to work is going to end up well..
 
I used to smoke marijuana everyday from the time I woke up to the time I went to sleep. I did this for almost a decade in my teens and into my early adult years. I was still productive; had a job, did well in school, and stayed out of trouble. However, once I got a little older and had children I had to stop because it was too expensive. Looking back now at all of the money I spent on marijuana over the years, I think to myself I could have invested that money into something with a greater reward factor. I also never realized that I was actually addicted to marijuana until I stopped. After I stopped I could see how much it controlled my life in regards to buying it and having the urges to HAVE to smoke/eat/vape it. I'm still around it a few times a week because I have family who uses it and I do feel kind of bad for them because they're being controlled to an extent by the marijuana but just haven't realized it.
