No I do not, and I strongly suggest you don't. If you smoke for decades and still refuse to give up, it's bordering on selfish at the expense of your family.

I have a mother who smokes 40 a day and I'm going to tell her soon that if she doesn't stop then she won't live more than 10 to 15 years more. If she stops, she could live 30+ years. It really is that simple.

Smoking is fucking terrible. So is eating bad. Both these things will cause increased risk of cancer and pretty much guarantee your early death from heart attack of stroke due to narrowing of your arteries.

The worst would be a family member getting a stroke because of it and then reliant for a decade or more of care from their family, simply because they smoked themselves towards this.

It's no different to a heroin junkie. At first, you have sympathy for the addicted. But later you can't have any - because we all must take personal responsibility for our addictions

Yes I do, I find it a very good stress buster. And this is my fav brand:

3 packs a day everyday for the last 15 years.

Heres the deal i am so tired of this preachy shit from people. if you dont want to smoke then fine dont smoke. but when it comes to what it is other people do pls stfu!
you know what else is selfish people like you spouting off at the mouth about grown adults engaging in an activity that is perfectly legal.

personally (since we are vomiting out our opinions like gospel) I think we should lower the the legal smoking and drinking age down to 10 years of age.

the health effects alone on society would prove to be beneficial to the over population seen in urban areas. smokers create jobs in a wide variety of fields ranging from advertising, agricultural, and medical.
and when a smoker dies new jobs open up. smokers are the least selfish people ever. We understand the importance our addictions have on the economy. If smoking was outlawed it would be the very same people like you bitching about the increase in taxes to pick up the slack from the loss of federal revenue due to a ban on cigarettes.

so smoking is a good thing in that sense.

everyone can argue a point for or against any issue.

the point is if you personally dont want to to smoke then dont, however do not presume that you are some how taking the moral high ground when you expect that your personal preferences ought to take precedence over another's personal choice.

anyway enough rambling im going to go drive around with my kids in the car and smoke with the windows rolled up (just doing my part for the environment)

I don't smoke ;) Seems like there are enough non-smokerS in BHW :)

Quit over 2 years ago thanks to an ebook I found here on BHW. Check out Allen Carr's method.

I second the Allen Carr method. I have been quit for two years, haven't touched a single cig and never will again.

It took me at least 15 tries to quit btw.

Well guys, I started whn I was 17yrs old thn quit at 23, now I am 27 and started again. :o

I roll my own cigarettes, golden virginia. Never tried to quit as I'm a winner and we all know quitting is for losers. If I start something I always make sure I see it through all the way. Besides, smoking makes you look cool and what it takes away from your health is offset by what it gives you back in popularity.
