Do you sell ad account with website?

Hello,

This might be a weird/stupid question, but I have a website that I only drive traffic to with Facebook ads. I'm not looking to sell the website yet, but if I do in the future, do I have to sell the ad account with it? Or more importantly the FB Pixel? Can you even transfer a FB ad account?

I ask because I may want to use the same pixel on a related website, that will target a very similar audience, and if I sell one website, I don't want to lose that pixel. So basically, I'm deciding if it's worth making a new ad account/pixel for the 2nd website.

I don't know anything about selling websites and what it all entails.

I didn't have big experience with selling a website, but I can tell you the Pixel is just piece of javascript so yes you can use it for your 2nd website. All you have to do is delete the pixel from your Website code and paste the code into your 2nd Website before you sell your Website.

You cannot transfer an ad account (legally). As for pixels, you can always replicate that. Help the new owner create one for himself/herself and you retain the original one.

As for selling ad accounts, you don't *have* to. It depends on the negotiation with your buyer.
