Do you perceive SERP dancing as something that positively affect your website's ranking in long period? For example, many times my keywords are ranking roughly like this:

1st SERP check - Position:200
2nd SERP check - Position 20
3th SERP check- Position 30
4th SERP check - position - 10

Did you notice that?

Of course, SERP checking intervals are different, sometimes it's matter of 2 days, sometimes it's a week or so, depending on keyword.
For example, look at this graph, the site is heavily dancing, but after every drop it gains even higher rankings than previously.

From the behaviors you described yes it's a very good thing. Give it 3 weeks and you should land your self in page 1 but keep building links just because you rank doesn't mean your going to be there forever.

I definitely like to see the fluctuations associated with the dance, honestly I prefer movement of like 20 serps or less - big movements are good too but can go bad or be an indication of spam.

I have a question to all of the experts here. I own a website and I'm trying to optimise it for the last three months. What is really strange is that the website is ranked pretty well BUT on the local G (#3) search only... Any reasons why I cannot see the website on G global search??
Also the last 2 days my website was on a 'dancing' but today the dancing eventually stopped...

This behaviour has happened to me on the same period on some of my sites due to some link refresh on the algo. On majestic seo forums people are experiencing similar dances.

I think its positive :) i guess some refinements on panda and penguin filters.

Cheers!
