Hi all,

Been a long time lurker and I love what this forum has to offer for people wanting to make some $$$ :D

I just got a hand me down Dell server and was wondering what I can use it for. Do any of you run your own server for Blackhat purposes? If so, what do you use it for?

At this moment in time, my server is running my VOIP service, and that's about it.

yes it can be a server (web, smtp, irc, anything)
and also do all the automation

Honestly its not worth the trouble for the traffic. Turn it into a media center and I would rent a vm server. I'm starting to really fall in love with vm servers to run apps and databases.

I've got a nice little media centre / server next to me, works nice, but I don't use it for anything BH, just a webserver/w media centre.

If you plan to run anything serious on that server, you'll have bandwidth issues using a standard home connection. I would suggest renting a vps or dedicated server.
