Hi,

I 'm doing a KW research for a good niche and I found one with 891 daily exact seraches and 289,000 competing websites and it's related to a hobby of mine.

I use Market Samurai and this is what it shows for SEO Competition:



I'm obviously at disadvantage with regards to domain age and PR but can certainly get a better EMD and create more backlinks.

Would you recommend that I get into this market or move on?

that comes out to around 26,000 monthly searches, which is quite a lot, it may be a but to difficult to rank your website decently.

I probably wouldn't, like you say the competition looks very authoratative with a good SEO campaign you probably could get to the first page but its probably not worth the effort when you could be going after other 'low hanging fruit'.

What's the EPC? and are you sure that's daily "EXACT" or monthly?

Known:
It's definitely daily exact 891 (Broad is 22,000), not sure how can I find the EPC? the Adwords CPC is $3.52 if that's any indication.

Thanks for the advise. I'll see if I can find an adjacent longer tail KW.

Don't listen to this guy.

I would go for it dude. What have you got to lose but time? No guarantee unless you try right? That is relatively low competition; with some good on-page, you should be fine.
