Do you prefer sites with TEXT tutorials or with VIDEO guides?

Do you think most Google users prefer guides made with text or video?

I skip sites with video sites 99% of times unless im desperate and theres no any decent text guide around



my competitor has strong ŚĘÓ but hes does videos mainly, not text




is it safe to assume that most people are enraged by video tutorials and prefer normal text guides like me or its vice versa / balanced?

Most people prefer to listen to the explanation and watch the actual process. It’s a form of validation.
 
Video guides if the topic is very long. If it is a question-answer type thing, then I prefer text.

I think most people now (the ignorant mass - if I may) prefer video.

Me? I prefer text - I would much rather spend 30 minutes in a PDF than 8 FUCKIN' hours listening and watching some fluffed up bullshit from a self important asshole that thinks I give a shit about what fuckin mug he's drinking out of blah blah blah blah..... Yes I feel strongly about this topic! LOL

It depends what I am after.

If I need only a few answers I prefer text as I can scan it faster.

If I need to hear the entire tutorial I prefer video, especially if I can speed it +1.5 - 2
 
It depends a lot on the tutorial.

Text is easier to save notes from and read through quickly.

But, For something like photo or video editing, a video tutorial often saves a ton of time trying to fill in the blanks.

On the other hand, a text tutorial is better for something like programming, where I'm often copy/pasting notes or code.

It's best to have both, of course.

Its easier to learn by watching. That's how children learn - by watching others. So I imagine anyone wanting to really learn something will go for video. Techies will like text anyway, but most people are not techies.
 
video tutorial always get it well explained.
 
I generally prefer text. Someone who speaks in front of a camera can always forget something important, while the text is generally well researched and inspected after it was written.
Whereas, in reviews, I generally prefer videos. You can actually see the product and you don't need a scientific information about it.
 
I like text. Skim thru and find what I am looking for, instead of having go thru whole thing. It should be also have screenshots

Video works if broken up in sections.

Both at same time is best. Should be broken up.

Also note, I don't want transcripts, I want notes
 
Depends on the subject matter. Methods I prefer an eBook with a good menu, some tutorials when it comes to server shit, editing, configurations shit I prefer a video.
 
Videos. I'll tell you what I do hate. Fucking morons who are scared of their own voice. You buy some software etc. And all the video tutorials are made by some fucking retard using a mouse pointer and highlighting to explain what is going on.
