Kinda agree with @aij89 if we are talking scale. if you are running hundreds of campaigns then manual tweaking is just a waste of time and you end up overoptimizing anyway. but the default settings on most of these tools usually leave a massive footprint... sometimes you gotta force some randomness in there or google catches on pretty quick.
Agree with @Voxlane on the footprint issue. If you leave everything on default across a huge batch of accounts they all end up behaving exactly the same way and get nuked in one wave. consistency is great but you need to randomize the parameters slightly at the start. I usually set up a few different templates with slight variations in the delays and scheduling then let the automation do its thing. saves time but doesnt leave an obvious pattern for the filters to catch.
