Hi,

I'm captivated about poker because I see that there are some mind tricks and that's exactly what I like.

Does anyone plays poker from here? Where can I learn poker?

Thanks :o

I know how to. I used to play a lot of cards. I can merck in Spades and I'm pretty decent in blackjack. Five card draw was the first poker game I learned, but I know a bit about most card games. I'd recommend playing at free tables online if you're just looking to learn.

I play texas holdem, omaha, 7card stud. Its not good to bet real money unless you are experienced.

Yes I play Poker, when a girl likes me, I use my fingers to poke her thus I do play poker sometimes, but I am not a professional. :D

Don on some dark shades loud colored shirt - chomp on a big fat havana cigar then you are ready to play in public oh I forgot pull up to the casino in a stretch limo

Oh. I'm playing texas hold'em. What's the most interesting type of poker? I didn't tried all haha. Just played some free texas hold'em tables.

anyone wanna give me 200 and watch it turn into 700 after 8 hours? you can watch me play

well ya once I got really addicted to it..used to play zynga texas hold'em..it takes some time to learn all the tricks

Love Texas holdem. If your learning just play free tables or low money fixed price - like $2 per game or whatever.

Playing poker just for fun, nahhh, too much time consuming. If think you have watched to much late night poker on tv. If someone would asked me or showed me the right way to go how to make money online,I would never start playing poker again. 1. Your life becomes poker, your dreams becomes poker, everything around you becomes Aces and moving all in,calculating odds and shit. Avoid. I am not saying IM is stress free, but it is much less then poker. Although in poker you see results right away in your account. IM dont. Now lets look how manny people are making 500k a year ? Not really that much. Lets look into IM? Lots of people. And most Pro poker players reinvest their money into real business that generates cash flow, passive income. But if you are up for learning for fun or just to make some "easy cash" then check out 2+2 forum and best coaching videos online for deuces cracked. You can download some videos from torrent. I have some great videos and ebooks you should read. Expect 2-3 months of digesting all the knowledge ;) Good luck man

Hey Leme,

I started playing on merge recently as I was sick of the ridiculous bad beats on stars. My user on there is thecoyote2525 I think. Merge is probably my favourite as the cards are as close to live as full tilt was. Only problem is cashout takes over a week. Hit me up on a messenger mate.

Yeah played and won a little money, then played some more and lost it all.

Depends what kinda poker you play. I've always specialised in tournament poker and my stats aren't too bad. Made about $3-4k this year but the prob is the swings are massive in them. Stars is the biggest site but some of the beats are sick. I mean I shoved with kings in late when short and was called by 3 peeps holding small pocket pairs and all of them hit a set. Just too many 2 outers. If you play on Merge, I've made 70% of the final tables, going out only with really bad calls or standard bad beats.

Cash games are the better ones to play if you know what you're doing. You have to pick a site with people who literally just love playing bingo. The best sites for this are bodog (bovada for US players) and 888.com. 888 is literally the home to the WORST players on the planet. All you have to do is play within your limits slowly. Wait to hit a monster and literally watch them all shove all their cash in on a stone cold bluff.

There are only 3 types of people who will tell you poker is a game of skill..

1) People who want your money..

2) People brainwashed into thinking it is, by the people who want your money..

3) People paid to do so, by the people who want your money..

While i am not saying you can't become rich or win big playing poker, because a few people have done! it is just highly unlikely..

it's the same with the national lottery, someone usually wins every week... but highly unlikely you will, even if you play every week for a lifetime! ;)

Variance is what makes poker a gamble, if you tossed a coin 10 times you should hit heads 50% of the time, but you may hit anywhere from 100% to 0%, and in theory the more you do this, the more you will get results closer to the 50% mathematics say it should be..

The problem with poker is you have to play millions of hands to get anything close to accurate results in the long run, and even then your still not guaranteed variance will EVER swing in your favour.

As someone said above, tournaments are where you want to be, because someone has to win :)

I lol at this entire post. There are literally thousands of people that make a living playing online. Even after black Friday. Even as low as 200nl. As far as your variance rant I agree with some of it. If I bet you my 1.00$ against your 1.50$ 100 times on a coin flip, mathematically speaking I would have made 25$ off you. Hence the term getting your money in good and grinding an edge. There are entire forums dedicated to this topic. It's a very interesting read.
