    Hi all,

If you play cricket I think you may be interested in downloading my free Java app called "Cricket Batting Stat Machine". Basically it calculates various batting statistics like: the batting average over specified amount of innings incl not-outs scored, strike rate per 100 balls, highest score and lowest score, and total number of runs scored. I created this after finishing my Java paper at Uni (with a B pass :D) just for something to do, it has a basic interface. If you're interested, you can download directly from my site by visiting:

    Code:
    http://www.interkiwiwebdevelopers.com/software
I have uploaded it to numerous file sharing sites (for example download3k.com, wareseeker.com, top4download.com etc) using a couple of PAD submitters. If you want to download from one of these sites, check out the Google search url below:

    Code:
    http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy&hl=en&q=%22Cricket+Batting+Stat+Machine%22&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=&psj=1&fp=28f6b3b14a1a140e
This software is an executable (.exe) file and therefore only available to Windows operating systems, but will soon be making a MAC version sometime in the future. I have also included some basic instructions in a .pdf. Since I am required to give a VirusTotal scan on the .exe and .pdf files (they are bundled in a zip file), here is the VirusTotal results:

    File name:
    cricketbattingstatmachine.zip

    Current status: finished

Feel free to place some constructive feedback :).

If its in Java, shouldn't take much work for porting to Mac.
I play cricket though.... Right arm Fast bowler. I suck at batting...
Does it find strike rate for bowlers?

Brilliant stuff... I am opening bowler for my team and bowl medium-fast seamers, although I can get some good outswing. I am also a lower order batsman, although my batting average could improve I'm happy it's alot better that Chris Martin's :D.

I have heard I would need to make a .dmg version of my software, but people have told me I can only do it from a Mac. If I could afford it I would get a virtual machine with Mac OS :).

Yeah I have never been opening bowler before until this season. I used to consider myself an allrounder but lately I have been putting alot more work into my bowling. I used to bowl around 125kph but brought that down to Nathan Astle's pace and have got alot of wickets since I've done so. Well most of my deliveries are around the 110kph but will throw in the occassional effort ball every now and then. In my first over of my first game for the season I nearly got a 3 wicket maiden but the last ball of the over the guy got a 4, I also just about got a hatrick :).
