Hello BHW,
i was wondering if you nofollow / noindex Privacy site, ToS, imprint and so on? These sites are usually heavy linked and how does it affects Link Juice etc?

Lol... well if you no-index a site its not going to pass shit because it won't go in Google's index. Thats like getting a link off a deindexed blog, worthless... in Google at least. Maybe these guys are blackhatting some other system with that, Baidu or some other exotic search engine.

As for the rest, no follow theoretically restricts link juice. And ToS, etc, etc, etc well... I have no idea. But you have to ask yourself why you would bother.

Old days people do this because they can "sculpting juice", means save link juice from flow to other pages/websites, and rank better. For example, you get 100 link juice from homepage, now you get those about me/privacy/Tos pages, and each one share 33% juice, by no-follow those, you saved the juice and pass the juice to the useful pages/categories.

But Google changed several years back, even you no-followed a page, your juice still lost, means not saved to other pages.

So maybe short answer to this question is, ignore it, just do it, and rank.

If some of your pages got duplicate content, you may consider to no-index as to avoid penalty.

Hope help and recommend you read some useful SEO books :)

I used to nofollow things like TOS pages, but I don't bother anymore. I just make sure those pages link to key content as well.

Thank you charliebrooker, appreciate your input - I will try it out!
