I've got a vps from vultr and I'm using it to bot. Most of my accounts are through proxies but I was planning on using my main one on the default VPS one. Is that a dedicated one or is it probably shared with other people?

It is dedicated but the subnet is probably flaged buy IG.

So I should go ahead and use a proxy then? Getting a bit worried as I've used so many IPs with this account and it's my main one

If u run only 1 account u can try to run without a proxy.
Other way u need to use proxy

So it's better to use a proxy this time and stick to it .

The thing is I also manage this account from my mobile as it's my main Insta. Is that likely to get me banned?

You should still use proxy for two reasons:
1) Your VPS's IP isn't residential IP, so it may have been already flagged.
2) It is much tougher to change the VPS IP if it gets banned, than just changing the proxy.

It doesnt matter how many ip u used, IG doesn't flag people for connecting to internet under differents IP's, a normal user can connect to wifi in many places, IG doesn't flag people for using 4G neither... The question is, is your proxy seen as a proxy? The answer is, 99% of the case yes, IG knows as soon as your connect through it and flag you. Then if you spend your whole day following and unfollowing people, well the hammer strikes.
